Who is SOLAS?
Abe Malley
After graduating from Bigfork High School in 2013, Abe enlisted in the US Marine Corps. Not long into his enlistment Abe lost his brother, Philip, to suicide. Four years and one honorable discharge later he returned to the Flathead Valley. While he was excited to return home, Abe realized he had also brought home a lot of grief from his brother’s death. He learned about SOLAS from an online ad and began attending in 2018. After attending several meetings Abe became a facilitator in 2020. He now works as an independent contractor and student.
Jude Cauble
Born and raised in Montana, Jude and her family returned to Flathead Valley three years ago. She is a teacher here in the Flathead County and her husband was starting his own business. Unfortunately, Jude tragically lost her husband to suicide. She was left to raise her two children whom she shared with her husband and deal with the aftermath of a suicide. Since the death of her husband, Jude is starting to take an active role in suicide awareness and support for those left to pick up the pieces. She is very grateful to support groups and talking with other suicide loss survivors.
